Trichy has a good potential for Hotel industry....Mainly Trichy serves as a "Gateway to the pilgrimage centres" present at eastern parts of Tamil Nadu viz. Nagore Durga, Velankanni Church, Poondi Matha Basillica, Navagraha sthalas, Temples around Tanjore & Kumbakonam..Round the year during various months tourists will be flooded...Mainly during Sabarimalai, velankanni season etc..
Hence a pack of hotels (boarding & lodging) near the Ariyamangalam round about, Mannarpuram signal, along Tanjore highway will be a sure hit...

yes Leave Government subsidies.. There are never going to do.. unless there is some benefit for them..

Trichy :http://www.tiruchicity.com/about.html

Hotels in Trichy : http://trichy.com/hotel.htm

Trichy Tourism :

Seem like Trichy tourism is very Limited to me..

Wedding Halls is another source of income for these people.

Do the Domestic people in trichy go out and have food in Hotels..

Seem to me the Hotel market is a Bit dull but new Hotels keep poping up..

Do anyone know a Market research company that will be able to answer these questions?

before discussing on hotel projects, ask ur tn government to invest on infrastructures in areas of tourism at temples, sightseeing, entertainments, industrializations, pilgrimage, medical hospitals etc.......................................and not thinking of giving goats and cows alone in making people peasants slavery throughout! :x :x :x :x :x
after this, u can see investors automatically rushing in to build many many 5 & 6 star hotels. !

I heard some 3 or 5 star hotel is going to come up in the airport area. The only good hotel in Trichy is Royal Southern.

Guys,

Since no one has talked much about Hotels... I thought it would be a good subject for discussion

Are Trichy Hotels running successfully? I understand Trichy has some Big Hotels like Sangam, Femina, Ramyas, Guru, Mayas..etc? How good are they running?

Customers to these Hotels : Sesaonal tourists; Wedding guests, General .. So i am thinking How are these hotels running in capacity?

Is their a growth in this Trichy Hotel market?

What is Trichy missing that people in Trichy would love to see?

Please put your views..
